Following a string of successes in theatre and television, ROGER MICHELL (Director) has rapidly made his mark as a film director. His BAFTA-winning film of Persuasion was the first of the recent successful Jane Austen adaptations. He also directed and co-wrote the award-winning television serial The Buddha of Suburbia and directed the film version of his own multi-award winning theatre production My Night With Reg.
Michell recently directed the feature film Titanic Town, set in Belfast with Julie Walters, and will soon begin preparing for the film of Louis de Bernier’s novel Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
He currently resides in London with his wife, the actress Kate Buffery, and their two young children.
